The Versatile Blogger Award

Hi, guys! How are you? Hope everything is fine wherever you are, because today I’m feeling awesome! I just got nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award!!!!

I want to give my special thanks to the Roots & Trails for nominating me and… Wow, I can’t believe that there are real people around this world who does really like my blog and think it is worth some recognition. I mean, I started to write 7 months ago as an exercise for my English course and I took it as a job I want to continue to do for my whole life.

I remember my (lovely) teacher’s words: “Open the WordPress website. Create a blog about something you like and start to write, maybe you find out you like to write and never stop doing so”. I’m pretty sure he didn’t have any idea of what this would mean to me because today I don’t see myself away of the writing habit. But ok. Continuing with the procedures of the nomination, those whom were nominated has some steps to follow:

  • What’s the Versatile Blogger Award?

Well, bloggers nominate other bloggers who they believe deserve recognition for their high-quality standard of writing, the uniqueness of content, passion and love displayed throughout the site and to top it off, amazing photos! (I’M HERE GUYS, AAA)

  • Nominate up to 10 bloggers for the award and provide links to their blogs. Also, inform them about the nomination.

1. I W A N N A B E A L A D Y

2. 3 Sisters Abroad

3. The Travelling Diary Of a Dippy-Dotty Girl

4. Galway Girl Abroad

5. lifeofangela

So, this is my Top 5, I really love them, they way they shared their experiences, and the support they give and I just realized they are all ruled by girls (I mean, who run the world, huh?).

  • Reveal 7 facts about yourself that your readers may not know.

1) I have an airplane tattoo in my ankle.

2) I already had my hair pink, purple, blue and white (and I miss it so much).

3) I don’t believe in myself. I always think I’ll fail on things I put myself in.

4) I don’t picture myself as a mother.

5) I’m a teacher!

6) I don’t know how to swim.

7) Pets aren’t really my thing.

  3. Hi Isabella,
Congratulations, you should feel awesome, that’s great. I feel a bit like you, in the sense that I have just begun blogging in the past month and was quite sceptical in doing so, but there are so many people out there who are so supportive and encouraging. I’ve learnt to give anything a go, your’e never too old and it’s never too late. Thank you for your post 🙂

  4. Congratulations Isabella! Enjoy that feeling about being thought of when it comes to blog awards. I feel as happy to see a mention of my blog in your post. That is a rainbow of colours on your head – I love the idea. I know you did not get it possibly all at one go though that might be quite a statement too. I have a deep purple which sits dark on my hair because it is black but I like the way it gives off this smooth sheen in the sun. I did know how to swim but I have forgotten it so we are in the same boat (which should not topple over if we can help it!)

I have however already participated in this award so I shall leave you a link for it:

Lastly, do let the fact that you have us coming over to your blog give you a dose of faith in the self xx

    1. Yes, I was a lot of colors for quite a time! I still want put purple in my hair again, but I’m waiting a little bit. Love purple hair, when it’s in the sun gets really cool.
Hope our boat continues to float hahaha

Thanks, I’ll surely start think like you said and congrats for the double nomination =)

  5. Hey Isabella, I’ve wanted deep hot pink hair since high school but have never gotten up the nerve. I’m mostly scared to fry my hair, so I’m aiming for a temporary color if possible. Also, I never felt like a mother or saw myself as when as an adult. When I was a kid I kind of imagined it because that’s how we’re trained, but then the image faded. I still turned out alright. And remember, having children isn’t for everyone either. My sis and her husband are quite happy without!
I know it’s difficult, but you have to imagine what’s the worse that can happen if you fail? It’s normally not death. And look how many things you’ve already accomplished. This includes being able to write a blog in another language! I can’t even begin to fathom. I’ve been reading books and watching TedTalks on failure more recently, to help me learn to take more risks in life. It’s been really helping. Maybe you could try it? Failure is a scary but necessary evil.
    Also, that for the nomination!

    1. Oh, you should try! People say I shouldn’t do againg because now I’m an adult but I don’t think this should stop anyone from doing what he/she likes.
Yes! That’s what we’re trained for and my that’s the reason why everybody gets scared when one of us doesn’t want to go according to it. I’m happy to hear your sis and her husdband are happy with the choice.
Yes, that’s a great idea. I’ll try it, for sure. Thanks for your advice. =)
